How we did Splice Low-Res
It's not about the tech, it's about the community.
The Journalism and Media Studies Centre at the University of Hong Kong gives us the academic rigor and structure we need to build case studies.
Splice visited the school in Hong Kong recently to consolidate plans to work with some of the brightest journalism faculty and students in Asia. With them, we will tell the incredible stories of media transformation coming out of Greater China. We will also work with JMSC on research, toolkits, events, and talent across the region, and frankly, we can’t wait to get started.
Many thanks to the legendary Keith Richburg and the mercurial Thomas Abraham for their invaluable guidance, trust, and green lamb curry. We look forward to building this partnership together.
Our mission is to drive radical change by supporting bold, forward-looking media startups in Asia. In order to do this, we report on, teach, transform, and fund newsrooms in Asia.
Our newsletters are read by some of the smartest people in global media.
We’re Alan Soon and Rishad Patel, and there’s more about us here.
The Splice Beta Fund is a prototyping grant that helps news and media entrepreneurs in Asia to quickly ideate, launch, test, and iterate products and services for audiences and customers. Here’s how it works.
